All of our portion juice shipping boxes are imprinted with a date of production four digit Julian date code. These numbers will be the last four digits appearing on the outside of the shipping box. According to this system, the first three digits together indicate the day of the year and the fourth digit indicates the year. For example, 207-6 would be the two hundred and seventh day of 2006 or July 26, 2006. We also print the Julian code on the side of the cradle trays used inside all juice cup boxes and imprint a Julian code on the gable portion of all carton juices.
All products are shipped and should be stored frozen. Our product shelf life in a frozen state is twelve months. However, we highly recommend that product always be rotated and moved out of your inventory as quickly as possible.
The thawing process for our portion juices is extremely important. Frozen juice should be thawed at no more than 38 degrees Fahrenheit. This process will take about three days inside the shipping case or about twenty-four hours when the individual packages are removed from the shipping box. Our products have a fourteen day shelf life after thawing under refrigeration if proper procedures (as stated above) are followed. All of our juices should be kept frozen or refrigerated at all times.
